By the Power of Three, Return to Me

When I last visited Newport, we entered this hand blown glass gallery.  There is a viewing window to watch the artists at work.  It really is amazing the whole process.  The end result is some really fascinating and unique pieces of art.  They even offer a glass blowing experience to the public.  Your souvenir? An ornament or vase.

At the counter was a dish of silver rings each set with a colorful glass ball.  I turn to my boyfriend and wave my hand adorned with one of the rings.  "Please"?  He laughs and gives in.  I squeal with delight and start my selection process.  Mostly there are variations of blue and green balls.  I'm about to settle on a bluish green ball with funky blue veins when I catch a glimpse of purple.  I uncover the ring to find a purple ball with a fusion of pink, yellow green, and gold.  It's the only one and totally psychedlic.  I love it! The color purple is spiritual and magical, which makes this an even better find.

Two weeks ago I wore my ring to work.  Before I left for lunch, I stopped in the bathroom.  I approach the sink to wash my hands.  I take off my ring first and place it on the glass shelf.  I reach for the paper towels and glance over at my ring.  I remind myself not to forget my ring.  I dash off to enjoy my lunch.

Later that day...

I come home from work and go to my bedroom to change my clothes.  I take my earrings off and reach for my ring.  OMG it's not there.  My photographic memory depicts my ring sitting on the glass shelf in the bathroom at work. Oh no! I can't believe this.  I made a pact with myself not to wear rings to work because this isn't the first time this has happened.  I convince myself that history will repeat itself and my ring is waiting in the lost and found for me to retrieve it. Much to my dismay, I'm wrong. I leave a description of my ring with Susan at the lost & found.  Taking measures into my own hands, I decide to put out an APB about my ring.  In the meantime I cast a spell to return my ring back to me.  My pendulum assures me that my ring will find it's way back to me .  Now all I can do is wait.

A week and a half passes and still no ring.  Yesterday morning I decide to take a break.  I get back to my desk and there on my chair, sits my ring.  I can't believe it!  I'm so happy!

I have a funny story to write about a sheet. Maybe I'll cast a spell to get it back.
