Blah

There hasn't been anything that has inspired me to write lately, so I turn to my passion-photography.  There are elements of each that I find to be charming.   In the first image, I love the curves of the bare tree and the silhouette of it in the snow.  The color palette in the second image is beautiful and it conveys that warmer weather is just around the corner.

Which do you prefer?

At first glance, the most striking difference, to me, was that in the second photo, the tree 'has no shadow'.

What would a psychologist make of that.

The first photo is also, almost, black and white. It's very polarised (in the pyschological sense).

The second photo is also bichromatic - again just two tones - but red and green.

Red symbolises active spirit, and green symbolises passive nature.

So the second photo is far more complete.

Love the blooming trees and the green grass, glad our snow is all gone and wish it didn't snow here at all, it is lovely to look at but crappy to drive in and I dislike the cold LOL

Hi Moonwillow, I do the same…when I don’t feel inspiration, I look through photos I’ve taken. I love snapping away. Both photos are beautiful. I would choose the first as my favorite because, as you mention, the curves and the silhouette. And even though there is a chill to this one, there is also warmth and comfort.
