I boarded the bus at South Station to coastal Maine on Friday evening. I glanced around as I got settled into my seat. I mirthfully started taking notes as the idea for my next blog hit me. Have you ever noticed the seats on these buses are always upholstered with some sort of jazzy fabric? Fabrics that have words like mardi gras, fiesta or ombre in the name. Obviously Concord Bus Lines wanted me to feel like the life of the party while travelling on this coach. Needless to say I was disappointed when the driver did not offer me a pina colada. And what about the interior designers? Are they dropping hits of acid while mulling over swatches?
