Is it possible for a man and a women to be strictly friends? I've tried to have friendships with men and ultimately it becomes awkward. Despite my honest and direct communications about my feelings, things become ugly and mis-construed. It's a shame really. Usually it is the woman who becomes clingy and emotional. Maybe it's the sex thing. I don't know. Tell me what you think.

It really all depends on the woman.
If the women has been born unattractive, then this is certainly possible. Otherwise highly unlikely.
